"She considers a field and buys it; out of her earning she plants a vineyard." Proverbs 31:16

This woman carefully chose where to invest her resources, and then turned around and re-invested the return. I make investment choices every day, too- all of us do. Some of these choices are financial, but most involve other resources- time, energy, even my affections.
One day last week, my energy was flagging. I hadn't slept well the night before, and I was weary in every way... body, mind, and soul. I decided to take 10 minutes to exercise, anyway. Maybe it would at least ensure that I would get a better night of rest that night, and physical activity often helps to lift my spirit, too.
I usually exercise in the sunroom just about the time the sun comes up. I put some music on and started to bounce on my mini-tramp. Kids praise music has a good rythm for rebounding, and sometimes the simple lyrics are just what I need.
I was doing pretty well, exercise-wise- moving, at least. The children started singing the next song; a simple song that I hadn't heard for a long time:
"Love Him in the morning, when you see the sun arising,
Love Him in the evening, "cause He took you through the day,
And in the in-between time, when you feel the pressure coming,
Remember that He loves you and He promises to stay."

I finished exercising with tears of joy in my eyes, and got off the trampoline so that I could talk with Jesus, who loves me and has given me this day, and has promised never to leave me. We love each other, Jesus and I! Sometimes I need a reminder of that- and what a difference it makes in my day!
